Subject: Change of the SI

1.SI5.1 will be changed:
On the fourth day of racing (30 September) the Warning for the first race will be 9:00.

2. SI 5.3 will be changed:
For the fourth day of racing (30 September) three (3) races are scheduled.

3. SI 5.4 will be changed:
On the fourth day of racing (30 September) the skippers meeting is scheduled at 7:30.

Subject 1: Amendment to the SI
Subject 2: Appendix T with a change

  1. The following point will be added to the SI

14.8. Boats infringing RRS 49.2 will be penalized with a 10% Scoring Penalty without a hearing. This changes RRS 63.1. Boats so penalized will be informed afloat by a member of the international jury as soon as reasonably possible, by making a sound signal, displaying a yellow flag and hailing her sail number or bow number, even if she is no longer racing.

  1. Appendix T of the RRS with the following change apply

Replace the first sentence of T1(b) from original: 
„A Post-Race Penalty is a 30% Scoring Penalty calculated as stated in rule 44.3(c).”
To: A Post-Race Penalty is a Scoring Penalty calculated as stated in SI 14. However, rule 44.1(a) applies.

Subject: Amendment to the SI

SI 1.9 changes to: Part 5, Section B of the RRS and RRS 44 are changed to permit Protest Arbitration.

SI 8.7 changes to: No 5-leg course will be shortened to less than four legs in length, and no 4-leg course will be shortened to less than three legs in length.  For purpose of this SI only, the distance between mark 1 and the offset mark will not be regarded as a leg of the course.  This changes RRS 32.

SI 23.4 changes to: Failure of a support boat to comply with any of these SI 23 rules shall be considered a breach of RRS 2, Fair Sailing, by the boats associated with the support boat and is subject to protest.  Any penalty applied to the boats associated with the support boat shall be at the discretion of the jury and may not be excluded from their score.  This modifies RRS 64.4 and A2.
